The Businessbox creates a platform for a business owner to structure the business, while defining the basics they need to have a handle on, in a very practical aspect. Rather than approach it at an academic level, we focus on effective practical outcomes for business owners that are constantly time poor.Target Audience – The target audience for the Businessbox is community proactive SME’s with total staff under 50. We relate our focus to levels on the Grinder model, and our key target audience is companies that have been running for more that 12 months, show a business idea that is sound in potential for market share. Non university trained managers/directors. Proactive and looking to develop their business.The UBA of this course needs to stand on top of and to the side of all proceeding programs, i.e. building on top of experience, and implementing new information/strategies based from experience and studies.I can personally see Unique advantages in implementing an all inclusive platform/framework to work within, and on top of. Analysis

Analysis involves a tangible assessment of small business problems, and the aspects we have defined as basics. Asking the participants to identify themselves on a scale of their understanding of their business. This means it is subjective, but it also means we have a defined ability to increase each business owner on their own scale. We focus on specific areas within the analysis of business basics, and are looking to increase understanding, structure, strategy and implementation in these areas. The 2 tools we use for this are our own training analysis, and the Excellerator products

Training

Training currently involves 2 levels of potential training. Each level consists of 8 separate trainings, that are interlinked to create the whole system. Below is the details on those trainings.The overall focus for the training program is to refresh and organise current business skills, and benchmark a skillset requirement for future reference. This means we will be building a platform on which future trainings can grow, and implementing a structure for strategic and methodical growth.The “Businessbox” program is made of 2 levels currently with a 3rd to come. Each level is stand alone, and covers a number of topics. A workbook both in hard copy and soft copy is available, which looks to bring simple practical outcomes from the course into the business, on an on-going basis – with 2 major practical steps being focused on. 1. Weekly planning meetings, and 2. Monthly Directors meetings. Both of these in line with a business plan, encourages business growth.
  • The level 1 course focuses on developing consistent profitable work flow, and focuses on the elements necessary to manage in order to develop a structure around you’re the products or services provided.
  • The course has 8 sessions, plus a training analysis to begin with, and an integration session upon completion. These were developed along a path of staff flow into business and management.
  • Normally beginning at 8 or 8.30 on a given morning, as we have found this is the easiest time for our business managers.
  • The 8 sessions are; Business Planning, Creating inquiries, Sales, Technical controls, Service Delivery, Customers servicing/database management, Financial controls, Business Management.
 Famework –Business Improvement The basis of the general framework – cover all the series for small business. Put the                 The key thing is that this is generic skill set, realising differentiating factors are; industry, target audience, directors skill set and vision, unique Business Advantage, business objectives and sales cycle                Our target is Small business, 2 – 15 staff, under 3 million turnover 
  • The level 2 course builds on the basis that you have consistent work flow, and then looks at how to develop your staff, so that the business grows by their direct input, rather than the business owner needing to do everything.
  • The course has 8 sessions, plus a training analysis to begin with, and an integration session upon completion. These were developed along a path of staff flow into business and management.
  • Normally beginning at 8 or 8.30 on a given morning, as we have found this is the easiest time for our business managers.
  • The 8 sessions are; Business culture planning, Induction systems, Communication systems, Technical development and planning, Staff Development, Staff Retention and Incentives, Productivity controls, and finally Staff Management.
 Framework – Leadership & ManagementThe basis for the leadership / management is general framework with Directorship/strategy /oversight management / developing systems                The key thing is that we focus on generic abilities to develop a reproducible system, and we impart skill set to encourage business increase and reproduction. To increase staffing and local investment                Our target is larger small businesses, and smaller medium businesses. Non tertiary qualified roles, directors and senior managementThe outcome of the courses overall is to support developing businesses with fundamental pieces of their business to develop for sustainable growth. This is done as practically as possible, and focuses on defining the base line and elements involved in achieving that. One of the major benefits most business owners enjoy is the ability to have a forum to discuss problems and find avenues of overcoming obstacles. This course is not aimed at being a full academic venture to achieve a high qualification in business management. It is a practical means of structuring your business for growth, with limited time, money and resources available. It is designed as a practical assessment of fundamental business areas to manage, then detailing basic skills and resources to manage them.

It is integral, that the information is disemminated in a way taht can be actively integrated in the business. Therefore we use simple excel templates as a tool to work through. This can then either be integrated into management systems, or edited into current software used.The purpose of this is to have documented systems and templates within the management structure taht are visited regularly, with the purpose of being part of company structure.

To complete the trainings we find it critical to find how the systems are going to be integrated into the current running of the business. If we leave without following up, we find that it can be like anything else, taht started out with good intentions, but ended up being too hard, or not enough time. Although it is up to the individuals who do the course to implement the final results, it is also up to us to make sure that we go to every length to provide what the desired outcome. Practically this starts with an integration session, and then is followed up with the support networks, or individual sessions to help integrate them in.
